Our House

On this page view our houses history, a virtual house tour, images of our rooms and a cost comparison between Alpha Delta and Washburn's campus residential living.

Our house offers the largest private "square foot per member" rooms of any living alternative at Washburn. Two formal sitting rooms. Two relaxing lounges one with a 85" TV. A modern kitchen with multiple microwaves, personal cabinet space, large industrial fridge/freezer and a ice machine that makes Washburn Top Hats. A Formal dining hall. Chapter meeting room. On site laundry.  A large front lawn and a sand volleyball court.

Alpha Delta has owned seven different houses over the years. The current home at 1919 MacVicar was built in the 1890's by a Topeka-area doctor, Dr. Forest Loveland.  Alpha Delta purchased the house in the spring of 1969, and after some upgrades occupied the house in 1970.  The house has been expanded to house up to 30 residents after three significant upgrade and renovation projects over the years to make it the modern facility members enjoy today.
